Exactly what I needed for my ceiling lamp. It wasn't so much the design of my original ceiling lamp that bothered me, but the fact that it shone just a little-too-white a light than I'm used to. I could've simply looked into changing out the light bulb for a warmer shade, but I figured...two birds, one stone! The Gem Bark Tulip lamp shade gives such a soft vintage vibe to the room and I don't have to warn my guests to brace their eyeballs before I switch on the light. Assembly was as simple as it gets! Honestly, prepping the command strips took a minute, which was the longest step. After that, throwing the lamp shade on the wall was a breeze with the magnetic strips. Great to know that if I need to change out the light bulb or clean/steam the Tulip shade, it comes off so easily because of the easy magnetic hold! Was the price a bit more than I was expecting? Yes. But the quality is there. I looked at some alternatives with similar concepts, but they looked cheap with uninspired design. I say give Tulip a gander!

I have no regrets about this addition to my decor. Needed to use the included screws because I have rough textured walls so the adhesive wasn’t enough, but worked out great. I’m finally able to use my overhead lighting now that it creates a soft vibey glow. Highly recommend!

As described, these shades are great for a quick fix to old fashioned apartment lighting. Easy to assemble and install. I’ve had mine up for almost 2 weeks so far and they’ve stayed in place on my ceiling. My only complaint is that they arrived wrinkled and it’s been hard to get the wrinkles out with a steamer because the fabric is so thick. I also don’t love that you can see this plastic/rubber bit on the wiring, I think this is so that you can take the shade apart if needed, but I expected a more seamless construction. Overall happy with my purchase though!
